Buck said that the Red Sox are the reigning “world champs”. You mean World Series champs, don’t you? I don’t remember the Red Sox ever participating in any world championship. Pat, later in that segment, even seemed to go out of his way to correct Buck by saying “World Series champions”.

“Tough stretch for the Blue Jays. Same could be said for the Red Sox playing each other.” So the Red Sox are going to play games against members of their own team?

On final out of 2nd inning (pop up by Dan Johnson to second baseman): “The shortstop Stephen Drew calls for it”. it was right to the second baseman and Pendroia caught it.

  4. Anonymous says:

When the Red Sox scored their 6th run in the 3rd inning, Buck said “The GO goes to second”. (go instead of throw)

  5. Anonymous says:

After Hutchison was pulled, Buck said “9 runs on 6 hits”. He means 6 runs on 9 hits.

What is a “1 earned run record”? (Buck talking about Brad Mills)

John Lackey “drafted in 2000, excuse me 1999″

    “Erin” Kratz

“Vasquez making his 5th big league start”. I didn’t know that he was a pitcher.

“FANCISCO gets a double” (missing the R sound)

“big run for the blue jays to get the second run this inning”. It’s a 6-1 game. I know he is trying to say it would be big for the Jays to get a second run but it could also be interpreted as that they already got the second run, which they didn’t.

before the 4th: Jays Care “FoundationS” (added an S to the end)

  13. Anonymous says:

What is Buck talking about? “Double o nineteen”?

  14. Anonymous says:

“Brandon” Lawrie. “The Blue Jays are missing 3 components in their offence in Adam Lind, Edwin Encarnacion, and Brandon Lawrie.”

    “Kohfee Rasmus strikes out”

  16. Anonymous says:

“soup camps are alive and well”… talking about Honda Super Camps. Also, he said “Amader baseball” again.

    Xander “Bohgars”

On the ground ball play to the pitcher that scored Boston’s 10th run: “breaking ball off the glove of Mills”. Buck said “breaking ball” as Mills was fielding the ball. So the bouncing ball was a breaking ball?

  19. Anonymous says:

“That’s the 4th home run that the Blue Jays have hit tonight.” That’s what Buck said after Mike Napoli hit a home run to make it 14-1 to Boston.

In the 9th, Buck said that the Ortiz’s home runs put him past Carl Yaz on the “all time hit list”. Doesn’t Buck mean the all-time home run list?

  21. Anonymous says:

Buck was talking about how the manager needs to forgot about today’s lop-sided game because “They don’t add the POINT differential” and that only wins and losses matter. Since when do the teams score points in baseball? runs?

When Kawasaki stuck out in the 9th inning, Buck said “The will end Kawasaki’s hit streak”. The strike out did actually end Kawasaki’s 8 game hit streak but Buck couldn’t possibly have known that for sure unless he is able to predict the future. The Jays could theoretically have batted around allowing Kawasaki come to bat again and possibly get a hit.
