in top of third, Buck talking about possibility of promoting Sanchez from minors… said that you have to push them and that Hentgen, Halliday, etc. didn’t do anything in the minor leagues that would have you believe that they would be Cy Young award winners. He said that because they were brought up into the Majors, they blossomed. They didn’t blossom when brought up to the Majors. What did Halliday do during those early Major League years? Post a 3.92 E.R.A. in 1999 and a 10.64 E.R.A. in 2000? That’s blossoming? He didn’t “blossom” until he was demoted and figured things out back down in the minors.

talking about jays’ batting struggles as of late, Buck said that no one is working harder than Seitzer trying to figure out how to get the offence going again. Buck thinks that coach is working harder than the players at trying to get hits?

“These 2 teams have split the first six games of the season.” The Orioles didn’t play the Jays in their first six games of the season. Buck, do you mean the first 6 games of the season against each other?

  4. Anonymous says:

In top of 3rd, after the jays were retired, it sounded to me as if Buck might have said “Godman got out of it”.

  5. Anonymous says:

bottom of 3rd, Buck talking about Jones using the whole field when batting said: “He has found that you don’t have to pull the ball out of this ballpark to hit home runs.” It’s true that you don’t have to pull the ball to hit a homer but no one has ever needed to hit the ball “out of the ballkpark” to get a home run. You only have to hit it past the outfield fence.

  6. Anonymous says:

bottom of 3rd on pop out to get the last innings out: “Mark Francisico, the third baseman”

  7. Anonymous says:

In top of 4th, Buck talking about an Oriole’s pitching prospect who had Tommy Surgery and said that because of that surgery, “He is a ways saway”.

  8. Anonymous says:

    Manny “Machada”

  9. Anonymous says:

    Brett “Lorie” is also back

  10. Anonymous says:

    ” ‘Oh’rioles have a 3 nothing lead”

  11. Anonymous says:

Did he say “sixty second strike of the night for Kevin Gausman”?

  12. Anonymous says:

In bottom of the 4th, “This is bounced of the mound, Buehrle to first.” Did it bouce of the mound or did it bounce off the plate?

  13. Anonymous says:

Did Buck say “Take a look at the American league Wing leaders”?

  14. Anonymous says:

In top of 5th: “Buck Showalter is a big pitcher guy” Did Buck say “big pitcher” or “big picture”? I really could not tell.

  15. Anonymous says:

“Yee know when the Blue Jays were really on a roll”

  16. Anonymous says:

“They were rocking it out of the ballpark on a regular… (pause) ppp paaaacccce”

  17. Anonymous says:

“Nick Markakis leading off the 4th inning” but it was the bottom of the 5th

  18. Anonymous says:

In the bottom of 7th, Buck said that “Adam Jones began his career with the Seattle Mariners”. He did start his major league career there but I think that’s the fourth time that Buck has said that just today.

  19. Anonymous says:

in top of 8th: Oriole Park “IN” Camden Yards

  20. Anonymous says:

bottom of 8th: “Blue Jays won’t be back here in Balitimore until September….” Not even tomorrow?

    • Anonymous says:

that’s something you usually say near the end of the last game of a series. This is the first game of this series.

  21. Anonymous says:

Buck talking about an extra inning game: “It was a 1-1 game after regulation.” Since when is the term “regulation time” used in baseball? This isn’t a hockey.

  22. Anonymous says:

    Steve “DelObar”

  23. Anonymous says:

In bottom of 8th, Buck mentioned stated the number of walks allowed by Aaron Loop and the number of innings he has pitched so far this season. He gave those statistic twice during the same Orioles’ at bat, probably doing it twice within a minute.

  24. Anonymous says:

top of 9th: on the pitch that made it 0-2 to Matroianni, Buck said “caught he inside corner”. While the umpire called the pitch a strike, Pitch Tracker said that the pitch missed the corner.

Re: June 11, 2014 “Bitch Tracker”

I believe that the “bitch tracker” blunder needs to be removed. As much as I wanted it to be true because it would be a great laugh, I have listened to the audio countless times, and Buck did in fact say “pitch tracker” correctly.

I know it’s really easy to hear something by mistake during the live game (happens to me many times) but when we listen to the replay, we hear it differently, But in this case, the video evidence actually proves that we made the blunder. Buck did not say “bitch tracker”.
