4th inning: “J.A. Happ couldn’t quite finish the job and the error.” How can he finish an error?

  2. Anonymous says:

before top of 5th, Buck mentioned Happ’s performance and was about to talk to John Gibbons and it sounded as if Buck said “as is the Kays” (instead of case)

  3. Anonymous says:

top 5th, Buck said: “it hit him on the ankle inside of his foot”. I sure hope that batter’s ankle is inside his foot. It would have to be unless someone slice the peron’s foot open and removed it.

“Chad Jenkins WAS former number 1 pick”. He is still a former first round draft pick unless his ghost is pitching now. He’s not dead.

before bottom of 5th inning “everybody having a good time here at Rogers Centre”. The Jays were down 4-0 at the time. Why does Buck always think that every one in attendance is having a good time? This was also right after they should a bunch of clips of people playing with their cell phones, which generally would indicate that at least some of these people were bored.

In 5th, Buck talking about Jays’ lack of success against today’s starting pitcher so far and said “The Blue Jays need to have tougher at bats.” Tougher at bats? Don’t you mean better at bats? Tougher at bats sounds like a bad thing as in the batters are having a tough/rough time.

Buck and Pat talking about Twins organization doing a good job at making use of home grown talent and Pat said the “the Mauer’s and the Morneau’s”. They had more than one of each?

  9. Anonymous says:

bottom of 7th, reyes gets a base hit and buck says “pillar will stop at second”, yet he had already rounded it and then tripped.

  10. Anonymous says:

In top of 8th, “Steve Tallison takes over for Brett Lawrie.” I have no idea why Buck keeps saying that but I have a funny feeling that it’ll get retired because we’ll just get so use to it.

8th inning: “a high pop foul”? What is that? It sounded as if Buck was going to say “pop fly” but said “pop foul” once he realize that it was a foul ball.

  12. Anonymous says:

“The new pitcher is Jared Burton. He’s in to face Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, and Adam Lind.” How would you know Buck? Did the Twins’ manager tell you that? We have no idea how many batters he will face or if he will be replaced before all three of those people bat.

In bottom of the 8th, Buck was talking about how the Jays had the bases loaded but couldn’t execute and haven’t been successful at scoring any runs. Buck then said “at the time, it was a 2 run lead” (he didn’t mention the Twins at all, only talking about the jays). The Jays were never leading this game by 2 runs as of this point in the game.

How is Kendrys Morales’s first name pronounced? Out of Buck’s mouth, it changes for no reason from “Kendrees to Kendris” and back and forth.

  15. Anonymous says:

in bottom of 9th, Buck said that the Twins brought in a new pitcher because “Ron Gardenhire didn’t want the Blue Jays to mount any type of comeback tonight”. Does the opposing manager ever want that?

On the Francisco throwing error, I thought I saw the ball go right into the crowd. On the radio broadcast, Jerry Howarth said it went into the crowd. After the play was over, either Buck or Pat said that the ball went down the right field line.
