In bottom of 2nd inning, Buck said “Blue jays have ALWAYS been a very powerful team. Now they are a consistent team.” Powerful? As in home runs? Even back in the early 1977 days?

  2. Anonymous says:

Buck was talking about it being difficult to be a .300 hitter and Buck said that Mauer has “done it FOR 11 years”. His overall career average over the past 11 years has been .320 but he is has not hit .300 “for” each of the past 11 years. In 2005, he hit .294, .293 in 2007, .287 in 2011, and before the start of today’s game .264 so far this season.

in bottom of third, Buck said “Reyes is an upbeat teammate…. doesn’t let anybody get too up or too down”. So which is it? He just contradicted himself.

  4. Anonymous says:

bottom of 3rd, Buck said “Bautista fouled it off” but it wasn’t even close. He clearly struck out.

  5. Anonymous says:

In top of 4th, Buck said that the Twins “are a pretty good ball club” and they just have to get the pitching to perform. The Twins are in last place in the AL Central.

  6. Anonymous says:

Bottom of 4th, Buck says: “Travis d’Arnaud ust got sent down to the minors, a former Blue Jay.” D’Arnaud has never played a single game for the Jays and I don’t believe he was ever on the team (although he was in the Jays organization).

  7. Anonymous says:

“Brett Lawrie is just now learning how to hit”. Buck, aren’t these players already supposed to know how to hit if they are in the major leagues?

  8. Anonymous says:

In bottom of 4th, Pat says “He has to start just a little bit sooner” and on the very next pitch Gose swings way to early on a pitch. Then, later in the at bat Buck continues on that after Gose swings too late and fouls off the ball the other way by saying “you don’t mine if he’s late with 2 strikes”. Why would Buck continue on that tangent when Gose just swung much too early right after your partner said that Gose has to start his swing sooner?

  9. Anonymous says:

In the 5th, Buck was talking about R.A. Dickie throwing the knuckle ball in Minnesota but when he was a member of the Mets, “that’s when he got the opportunity to start”. 13 starts in 2003, 15 starts in 2004, 4 starts in 2005, and 1 start in 2006 with Texas, 14 starts with Seattle in 2007, and 1 start with the Twins in 2008

  10. Anonymous says:

In 5th after Reyes home run, Buck says “see, I knew the blue jays were going to score again.” Oh really? Great prediction there! I think it’s safe to say every team will score again.

  11. Anonymous says:

Bautista hitting in 5th, “High deep drive!” but it was nothing to get excited about.

  12. Anonymous says:

“Mauer’s power numbers have really dropped since the Twins moved into Target field.” Buck then said that Mauer has never been a power hitter, concentrating on his swing and batting average So which is it? Was the drop in power because Mauer doesn’t swing for the fences or because of the change in stadium?

He has had more than 20 home runs in a season only once during his career so why Buck attribute any drop in power numbers to Target field, especially when Mauer’s home run numbers in past few seasons have been about on-par with the rest of career?

  13. Anonymous says:

Top of 7th, Buck talking about foul balls hitting umpries and catchers in the head/mask: “that pushes your JAR right back into your ears”

  14. Anonymous says:

bottom of 7th: Caleb “theobarb”? Buck did correct himself immediately afterwards.

  15. Anonymous says:

top of 9th: “they ‘conceited’ second base”?

  16. Anonymous says:

bottom of 9th, pillar batting something about a batter be 0 for something “this sayson”

  17. Tyler says:

How about when Buck said “Santana took Dickey deep in the first”. LOL

  18. buckblunders says:

@Tyler…. Man, there could be so many videos when RA Dickey is pitching :p
