Buck Blunder 1 – On a J.P. Arencibia AB, Buck Martinez said that he went too far, but JP got the walk! JUMPING THE GUN! (Contributed by @KatiePammett, @coolhead2010, @Craig11212, and @jordangeville)

Buck Blunder 2 – Buck Martinez was saying that there were Postseason games going on right now. He meant that important wild card race was going on. (Contributed by @coolhead2010)

Buck Blunder 3 – Buck Martinez said, “Mauer… with the power.” This was when Brandon Morrow was pitching against Brent Morel. I’m pretty sure he meant to say Morrow… with the power!

Buck Blunder 4 – When talking about Canadian players, they showed Joey Votto’s OBP number, but Buck Martinez called it OPS. Later he said, On Base Percentage.

Buck Blunder 5 – Buck Martinez called J.P. Arencibia, A.J. Arencibia. Wrong initials Buck! (Contributed by @SammyKrystal and @AlanClough)

Buck Blunder 6 – Buck Martinez said that Jose Bautista hit .300 for the season, when his average was .302 after this game. (Contributed by @AlanClough)

Bautista Protection Agency

Don’t know what BPA is? Check out the blog post here.

The Blue Jays tried to play some Wild Card spoilers as they face 2 out of 3 teams in the AL Wild Card Hunt. They tied a 4 game series with the Angels (which really hurt their chances) and what’s new, only won 1 game out of 2 in Tampa. This has been the most intense wild card race ever!

This week saw only Eric Thames taking in all the BPA love, but Joey Bats got hurt in the last game and only hit twice. I hope the Bau-bino is ok, cause Eric Thames misses you. Check the stats below.

Eric Thames

7 games
27 AB – .407/.467/.741 w/ 11 H, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 6 R, 3 BB, 5 K

Those are almost Bautista-like numbers… DAMN! I’ve noticed Thames is starting to take more walks which is good, cause if you’re hitting behind Bautista, you better be getting on base!

Blue Jays finish it off in Chi-Town. I hope no one calls out the “Man In White” in Chicago!

Sorry for the late update.. (Damn! 1 week delay)… Work has been busy, but no matter, the results are below. And they aren’t pretty…. 5 games in this week against the Red Sox and Yankees!

Eric Thames

4 games
16 AB – .188/.222/.250 w/ 3 H, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 3 R, 0 BB, 4 K

Kelly Johnson

1 game
4 AB – .000/.000/.000 w/ 0 H, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K

Davis Cooper

1 game (1 pitch)
1 AB – .000/.000/.000 w/ 0 H, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K

Not great for all three above… I guess with the season almost over, the BPA is losing it’s luster….

BPA Stats for next week…. In 5…4…3…2…1……. NOW!

Buck Blunder 1 – Buck Martinez said that Jose Bautista has hit 107 HR since 2009. He said that he has had great success in a year and a half, but that’s 2 years. (Contributed by @Arock1234, cont… @Arock1234)

Buck Blunder 1 – Buck Martinez was talking about Brandon Morrow’s strikeouts. He said that he had 3 strikeouts with all of them looking. That was a 2 for 1 special cause it was the 4th strikeout and only 1 of them was looking. (Contributed by @I_am_Tyril_, and @alittlehghas)

Buck Blunder 2 – Buck Martinez said that it was the top of the first, when really it was the bottom of the first. I guess he thought the Rays were the away team. (Contributed by @DMasse19)

Buck Blunder 3 – Buck Martinez called Brandon Morrow a Double Play machine as there was a chance for a second one, but that one didn’t work out :p Also, he hasn’t had a DP since last year August. (Contributed by @jordangeville)

Buck Blunder 1 – Buck Martinez really outdid his best blunders this year by calling Jose Bautista, Carlos Delgado. He made the blunder because he was saying how Jose Bautista broke the Blue Jays single season record in walks that use to be held by Carlos Delgado. I also think Buck made a mistake by saying Bautista broke the record today, cause Delgado had 123 walks, and going into this game, Bautista had 125. The record was broke on Sept 19. (Contributed by @the_badun, @therealllamaman, @Pete1418, @toysubmarine, @jeremyshorts, @no1jaysfan, @iainsut, and @GERONIMONSTER)

Buck Blunder 2 – Buck Martinez mentioned that the Angels saw Joel Carreno, but then later said that the Angels were facing him the first time. (Contributed by @BlueJayGal and @highcheese15)

Buck Blunder 3 – Buck Martinez said that the Rays won their game tonight, but the game wasn’t over yet. Even Tabby said that they “were” going to win that… JUMP THE GUN! Could you imagine if the Yankees exploded for another 3 grand slam game and the Rays lost! OUCH! (Contributed by @Arock1234 and @craiger1989)

Buck Blunder 4 – So since Buck can’t pronounce Encarnacion, he’s starting to give him new first names. This time he called him Edward. Next thing you know, he hits a walk off homerun! (Contributed by @nearlydenzil)

Buck Blunder 1 – Buck Martinez said that Dan Haren had the best K to Walk ratio in the bigs. He was suppose to say AL only cause Roy Halladay is better than Haren in that cat. (Contributed by @blandy12 and @nearlydenzil)

Buck Blunder 2 – Buck Martinez said that we haven’t had a pitcher win the MVP since 1986. He then changed it to starting pitcher cause Dennis Eckersley won it in 1992. (Contributed by @MikeStatement)

Buck Blunder 3 – Sort of a pseudo blunder, but Buck Martinez said that Peter Bourjos watches his home run sail out of here, but I think he was going to say Eric Thames, cause unless the HR was a no doubter, Bourjos is running those bases. (Contributed by @RyanJBarbour)

Buck Blunder 4 – Buck Martinez thought there were 8 more games left to play, when it was 7. (Contributed by @jordangeville)

Buck Blunder 5 – Buck Martinez said that Vernon Wells hit his 2nd home run of the season.. I mean series! (Contributed by @mattdoublem and @jordangeville)
